Start Ich zeichne seit ich klein bin, sogar so lange ich mich erinnern kann und habe nie damit aufgehört. Ich glaube, dass es eine Verbindung zwischen dem gibt, wie ich als Kind gezeichnet habe und wie ich es heute tue, zumindest was die grundsätzliche Einstellung dazu angeht. Ich habe es geliebt, mit meinen Freunden zusammen zu zeichnen und tue das heute auch manchmal noch. Und ich mag es, wie damals einfach los zu zeichnen ohne irgendetwas zu erwarten, einfach das zu zeichnen, was einem gerade in den Sinn kommt.
Ich bin das zur Kunsthochschule gegangen und habe dort ein paar Jahre studiert und viel gelernt, aber bin am Ende dann doch ausgestiegen. Stattdessen habe ich Workshops von Künstlern besucht, deren Arbeit mich interessiert hat und habe Residences angenommen, um etwas dazu zu lernen außerhalb akademischer Zusammenhänge. Ich lerne immer noch jeden Tag etwas dazu, speziell von Freunden und Kollegen.
Stil Ich bin nicht zu gut in Schlagwörtern, es mag es einfach, zu zeichnen.
Lieblingsmotive Ich mag es, Innenräume zu zeichnen, Schlafzimmer oder Museen zum Beispiel. Genauso wie Coffee Shops, vielleicht weil ich sie als Studio nutze. Ich mag es, dort den Gesprächen anderer zu lauschen und durch das Fenster die Leute auf der Straße zu beobachten. Da ich die meiste Zeit des Tages alleine bin, denke ich, dass zumindest andere Menschen anzuschauen, eine gute Gesellschaft ist.
Technik Normalerweise benutze ich farbige Stifte, Marker, Wasserfarben und Gouache. Ich nutze viele verschiedene Materialien, aber ich wechsele nie das Medium, was bei mir Papier ist. Ich kann mich für verschiedene Techniken begeistern. Eine Lieblingsfarbe habe ich nicht, aber es gibt ein paar, die ich viel benutze, vor allem Rot und gelb. Ich merke das daran, weil es immer die ersten sind, die zu Ende gehen.
Inspiration Die Dinge, die mich inspirieren sind meist diejenigen, die mir selbst widerfahren. Schließlich bin ich der Mensch den ich am besten kenne. Außerdem achte ich immer darauf, was meinen Freunden passiert oder auf der Straße vor sich geht.
Zudem gibt es viele Künstler, zu denen ich mich hingezogen fühle, wie Matisse, Marina Abramović oder David Hockney, aber ich mag auch folkloristische Kunst und Art Brut Künstler wie Bill Traylor oder Lee Godie. Und ich genieße die Kunst von Freunden wie Powerpaola, Sofía Álvarez Watson, Amadeo Gonzales und vielen anderen.

Start I’ve been drawing since I was little, ever since I can remember. I think I really never stopped doing it. I think there is a connection between how I used to draw when I was little and the way I do now, at least in the attitude. I used to love drawing with my friends and it’s something I still do nowadays. I like returning to the attitude of drawing without expecting anything, drawing whatever you come up with in that moment.
I went to art school, studied there for a few years and I learned a lot, but in the end I dropped out. I started to attend workshops by artists I was interested in and to go to residences in order to educate myself outside academic institutions. I’m still learning everyday, especially from my friends and colleagues.
Style I’m not really good with tags, I just like to draw.
Favourite motifs I like drawing interior places, like bedrooms or museums. I also enjoy drawing coffee shops, maybe because I use them as a studio. I like listening to other people’s conversations, and watching people on the street through the window. I’m alone most of the day, so I guess that at least watching other people is a good company.
Technique The materials I generally use are color pencils, markers, watercolor and gouache. I use a lot of different materials, but I never change the medium, which is paper. I grow fond of different techniques. I don’t have a favorite color, but there are some colors I use a lot, especially red and yellow. I realize this because they’re the ones I run out of first.
Inspiration The things that inspire me the most are the ones that happened to me because I’m the person I know best. I’m also on the lookout for whatever happens to my friends or situations I spot on the street.
There are a lot of artists I feel affinity with, such as Matisse, Marina Abramović or David Hockney but I also like folk art and outsider artists like Bill Traylor or Lee Godie. I also enjoy a lot the work of my friends Powerpaola, Sofía Álvarez Watson, Amadeo Gonzales and many others.
