Start Ich habe den Sprung ins professionelle Design bereits während des Studiums gemacht. Und seitdem kann ich gar nicht aufhören, die verschiedenen Straßen kreativer Arbeit, die durch die Medien führen, zu erkunden. Ich habe mit Grafikdesign und Desktop Publishing begonnen. Mit der Zeit habe ich mich immer mehr Richtung Internet ausgerichtet und ziemlich schnell die Prinzipien digitalen Designs übernommen. Sobald ich die neue Plattform verstanden habe, konnte ich mit nicht helfen und habe dann angefangen, mich mit Animation zu beschäftigen. Es fühlte sich wie ein ganz natürlicher Schritt an, meine Illustrationen plötzlich in Bewegung geraten zu lassen. Damals war der Vorabends der Flash Animation und es gab einen riesigen Bedarf daran. Es war eine seltsame Zeit für das Internet. Der Geek in mir trieb mich in die Video-Produktion und von dort aus ins Sounddesign. Je weiter ich ging, desto mehr gefiel es mir, wie sich alle diese kreativen Disziplinen auf so viele Arten überschnitten. Auch wenn ich nie aufgehört habe, mich umzuschauen, habe ich meine ursprünglichen Interessen nie aufgegeben. Das hat mich zu dem »go to guy« für Consulting und Produktion werden lassen. Heute arbeite ich vor allem in UX und UI Design in einem Start Up und als Freelancer. In letzter Zeit finde ich es sehr spannend, UX für Virtual Reality Plattformen zu erkunden.

Stil Ich mag es, pragmatisch zu sein und tendiere dazu, den großen Trends zu folgen. Was ich wirklich mag sind die Prinzipien des Materialdesigns.

Lieblingsmotiv Jedes Motiv wird nach einer Weile alt und die ist kürzer als wir meistens denken. Ich mag es meine Vorliebe rechtzeitig zugunsten des »new thing« aufzugeben.

Technik Mir gefällt es sehr zu sehen, wie Technik immer weniger wichtig wird. Production Tools sind nun leicht erhältlich. Es ist auch toll zu sehen, wie der Wettbewerb auf dem Markt Innovationen in Sachen Software und Hardware fördert. Ich bin loyal gegenüber Adobe Software und Apple Computern, aber habe nie aufgehört, alternative Pfade zu erkunden, die meinen Workflow verbessern können.

Inspiration Das konstante Entdecken neuer Inspirationen ist wichtiger für mich, als speziellen zu folgen.

Kunden Ich mag es mit kleinen Firmen und unabhängigen Entrepreneuren zu arbeiten. Die Art wie sie ihre Leidenschaft und ihren Enthusiasmus teilen, ist sehr ansteckend.

Start I have made a jump into professional design world while still at the college. Since then I just couldn’t stop exploring various avenues of creative work in media. I began with Graphic Design and Desktop Publishing. Over time I have gravitated toward the internet and quickly adopted to principles of Digital Design. Once I understood the new platform I could not help but to explore animation. It seemed like a natural progression to make my illustrations move. It was an eve of the Flash animation at the time. There was a huge demand for it. It was a strange time for the internet. Geek-in-me pushed me then to video production and then from there into sound design. Further I went I loved to see how all of the creative disciplines overleap in so many ways. Even though I have always looked further I never gave up on my previous interests. That process made me to be the ‘go to guy’ for consulting and production. Today I work mainly in UX and UI Design in a Startup and as a freelancer. I am lately very excited about exploring developing UX for Virtual Reality platforms.

Style I like to be pragmatic so I tend to follow main trends. I really enjoy the principles of material design.

Favourite Motive Every motive gets old after a while shorter than we think. I like to change my likings just in time for the ‘new thing’.

Technology I like to see how technology becomes less and less important those days. Production tools are now widely available. It is great to see competition in the market which forces innovation in both software and hardware. I have been loyal to Adobe software and Apple computers, but I never stop to explore alternative paths that could improve my workflows.   

Inspiration Constant discovery of new inspirations to me is more important than following of particular ones.

Customers I like to work with small companies and independent entrepreneurs. The way how they share their passion and enthusiasm is very contagious.
