Start Im Juli 2021 habe ich mein Studium an der Central Saint Martins mit einem Abschluss in Grafik- und Kommunikationsdesign abgeschlossen. Seit Januar 2022 arbeite ich als freiberuflicher Illustrator im Editorial Design.

Stil Ich denke, dass ich einen sehr eindeutigen visuellen Stil habe, ob das meine zarten Farbpaletten sind, die Figuren, ihre Haltung und Gestik. Für mich ist das Wesentliche meiner Illustrationen vielmehr der Prozess, in dem sie entstehen, das Gestalten und Formen. Die Textur oder ihr Stil ist nur ein Teil des Ergebnisses dessen, was ich ausdrücken möchte.

Lieblingsmotive Die menschliche Figur, Gestik, Körperhaltung, Bewegung des Körpers, Gesichtsausdruck und Vintage-(Midcentury)-Möbel.

Technik Ein Mix aus digitalen und analogen Medien. Beim Brainstorming benutze ich einen Bleistift und mache mir Skizzen auf Papier. Anschließend setze ich sie in einer Software wie Procreate oder Photoshop um, damit ich mehr Flexibilität beim Experimentieren mit Farben und Kompositionen habe.

Inspiration Ich beobachte das Alltagsleben der Menschen auf der Straße, aber ich studiere auch Werke verschiedener Künstler und ihren Umgang mit Farben, Licht und Komposition.

Start Graduating from Central Saint Martins with a degree in Graphic Communication Design in July 2021. Since January 2022, I have been working as a freelance illustrator in editorial illustration.

Style I do think that I have an obvious visual style like soft colour palettes, the character’s appearance, posture and gesture. However, I find the process of creating, shaping and curving is the essence of my illustrations. The texture or the style of the illustration is just part of the outcome of what I want to express.

Favourite motifs Human Figure, Gesture, Posture, movement of the body, facial appearance and vintage (mid-century) furniture.

Technique A mixture of digital and physical mediums. Use a pencil to brainstorm and sketch on paper then put it into production in software like procreate or photoshop to have more flexibility in the experiments of colour and composition.

Inspiration Observing the people in the street in everyday life. Also, I study different artists’ artworks to learn the use of colour, lighting and composition.
