Sardine can, personal work

According to a study by the »Ellen MacArthur Foundation«, more than eight million tons of plastic deposit in the global oceans every year, consequently there would be 2050 more plastic than fish in the water. Around 4% of the found garbage on North Sea beaches are cotton swabs. Bon Appetit!

The illustration was part of the exhibition »Seagulls. Waste. And some mermaids« and was published by Carlsen publishing house.

Aim of the collaboration was to take action and build a critical position towards daily plastic consumption to the benefit of marine conservation.
