»Talk-Show N°9« mit Prem Krishnamurthy
Prem Krishnamurthy von Project Projects (NYC) wird im Rahmen der Vortragsreihe »Talk—Show« an der Staatlichen Hoschule für Gestaltung (HfG) in Karlsruhe über seine weitäufigen Tätigkeiten als Grafik Designer und Kurartor sprechen.
Dienstag, 05. Juni 2012, 18 Uhr Im Glaskubus im 2. OG Staatliche Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe Lorenzstr. 15, 76135 Karlsruhe
Please join Prem Krishnamurthy of the New York based design studio Project Projects as he presents his passion for recent projects and primary topics, including the process-oriented production of graphic design exhibitions, programmatic curating within an identity platform, preliminary presentations of unacknowledged precedents for a political poster design and graphic practice, alongside other potential and realized design, curatorial, and research-based projects. The talk will take place at a breakneck yet planned pace, with periodic moments of pause for reflection, consideration, and audience participation.
Prem Krishnamurthy is a designer, curator, and founding principal of Project Projects. His current research focuses on distributed and recombinant archives, neglected legacies of Modernist ideology, and critical approaches to embracing instability in design systems. He has taught at multiple universities in the US and Europe. Prem was recently awarded grants from the Graham Foundation and the New York State Council for the Arts for his research on the political work of East German graphic designer Klaus Wittkugel.
