Hi, I’m Sandra, and I am a recent graduate of graphic design with a focus on art and illustration. I did my bachelor’s and master’s degree in communication design at the University of Applied Sciences Mainz in Germany and completed an exchange semester at the Norwich University of the Arts in England with a focus on research, reflection and experimentation in the field of illustration. I work very conceptually and base my design ideas on the research I made, but I also work quite intuitive and experimental. Finding unexpected ideas through creating new things from scratch is one of my favourite things to do. I’m inspired by a lot of different topics surrounding me but almost all my personal work is related to nature and climate issues, since these topics stuck with me for over 10 years now. After attending mostly photography and illustration classes and working mostly in black and white during my bachelor studies, I now focus a lot on finding the perfect textures and colour palette for every project. After graduating in 2019 I learned the basics of coding and got more into animation and typography by designing a range of posters. Throughout my master studies I worked on more CGI projects, redesigned a book, attended an experimental web design class and developed two social media campaigns about sustainability.
